Finding Us
Use these directions when travelling from Inverness.
Directions from Inverness
The address is near Birchtrees, Culloden Moor, IV2 5EG.
We are located approximately 500 metres past Culloden Moor Caravan Park on the left-hand side when travelling from Inverness.
Look for the large “Glenria” stone at the entrance to the side road. Turn into this road and Birchtrees is the first driveway on the right.

Using the Hut
The main things guests usually need to know.
Lounge Heater
Use the up and down arrow buttons to adjust the temperature. Increase the temperature if you would like the room warmer and reduce it if the room feels too warm. Please avoid changing the timer settings unless needed.
Please do not cover the heater.
Shower and Hot Water
The hot water is fed from a boiler, so the shower should have good pressure.
Turn the shower dials to start the water and adjust the temperature.
The bathroom fan heater is above the toilet and works using the pull cord. It runs on a 30-minute timer.
Toilet and Septic Tank
Toilet rolls are stored under the bathroom sink.
Please do not flush wet wipes, sanitary products or anything other than toilet paper, as the property uses a septic tank system.
Induction Hob
The hob is an induction hob with two cooking zones and digital touch controls.
1. Switch the hob on at the wall socket.
2. Place a suitable induction pan on the cooking zone you want to use.
3. Tap the power button on the hob.
4. Select the left or right cooking zone.
5. Use the touch controls to increase or reduce the heat setting.
6. When finished, turn the hob off and allow the surface to cool.
The hob only works with suitable induction pans. If it does not heat, check that the pan is sitting flat on the cooking zone and is induction-compatible.
If the hob appears locked, press and hold the lock button for a few seconds until the lock indicator changes or disappears.
The surface may remain hot after cooking. Please do not touch the cooking area until it has cooled.
Washing Machine
The washing machine is a Candy Smart Pro washer dryer. Washing capsules are under the sink alongside the cleaning supplies.
1. Place your clothes inside the machine.
2. Add one washing capsule directly into the drum with your clothes.
3. Close the door firmly.
4. Turn the programme dial to a suitable wash setting.
5. Press Start/Pause to begin.
6. Wait until the cycle has finished and the door lock has released before opening.
The dryer works best with smaller loads. Please do not overload the machine. You can use the washing line outside.
TV and Entertainment
The TV has terrestrial channels and apps including YouTube, Netflix, BBC iPlayer and ITV.
Please remember to sign out of any personal streaming accounts before you leave.

Pets
Pets are welcome at Brambles.
Dog food bowls and poo bags can be found under the sink.
Please clean up after your dog during your stay and before you leave.
The vacuum cleaner is stored under the TV if you need it during your stay.

One of Scotland’s most important historic sites and only a short distance from Brambles.

Bus
Bus number 13 runs into Inverness city centre. There is no formal bus stop, so please wait on the far side of the B9006 from the main entrance. Buses run roughly every 4 hours during the daytime.
